OVERVIEW
The Cass High School Band Program is a compressive music education program that is dedicated to the development of its student musicians. The Band Program offers many opportunities during the scheduled school day to develop individual musicianship including the Wind Ensemble, the Symphonic Band, and the Percussion Ensemble. In addition to these, students may participate in a variety of extracurricular and co-curricular activities such as the Cass High School Marching Band, The Cass Winter Guard, and the Blue Crew basketball pep band. The Cass Band program serves nearly 140 student performers and has more than doubled in size in the past five years.
The Cass Band is point of pride for the community and the students at Cass. Participating in regional competitions, Georgia Music Educator's Association sanctioned performances, football games, and other community events, the Cass Band prides themselves on their tradition of excellence and contribution to student achievement and school spirit. The Cass Band has consistently been awarded high honors at regional and national competitions with the concert programs receiving invitationals to play at regional festivals around the southeast.
